How your information is handled

Who we are. By Zoe is By Zoe Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales, number 17343834, with its registered office at 9 Park Avenue, Sticklepath, Barnstaple, EX31 2ET. Our VAT number is GB525358387. We are based in Devon and work across the UK. This site is by-zoe.co.uk. You can reach us at [email protected].

What we collect. This site collects personal information in one place only, the contact form. If you send it, we receive the name, email address, business name, phone number, the option you selected and the message you wrote. We use those solely to answer your enquiry and to carry on any conversation that follows from it. We do not sell them, and we do not pass them to anyone for marketing.

Cookies and analytics. This site uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages get read. It is off until you agree to it. The first time you arrive you are asked, and nothing at all is requested from Google unless you say yes. If you say yes, Google sets cookies on your device and receives standard technical information about your visit, such as the pages you looked at, your browser and an approximate location. If you say no, nothing is loaded and no cookies are set. Either way your answer is kept in your own browser and never sent to us. You can change it whenever you like using the Analytics choice link at the bottom of any page. There is no advertising here, and you are not tracked across other sites.

Services we rely on. The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which handles visitor IP addresses in order to serve and protect it. Contact form submissions are delivered to us as email by a sending provider acting on our instructions, and are stored in our email account after that.

How long we keep it. Enquiry emails are kept for as long as they are needed to deal with the enquiry and any work that comes from it, and are deleted once they no longer serve a purpose.

Your rights. Under UK GDPR you can ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email [email protected] and we will deal with it. If you are not satisfied with how we respond, you can raise it with the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes. If this notice changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it.
